Since 1964

The Warehouse section of Barefoot displays fine crafts from around the island. Sourced and designed with the help of skilled craftsmen and women in association with our design team, items such as painted wooden objects, candle stands, stools and boxes have become collectibles.

The traditional distinctive Dumbara weaving comes from the valley of that name and proves to be very popular. Revived by Dominic Sansoni in the early 1980’s, Barefoot produces cushion covers, bedspreads and table linen from this stunning fabric.

Old silver jewelry from North India and Central Asia is available. Excellent local designers market their jewelry through us; each piece is a desirable gift.

The Barefoot store is fulfilling a niche in the fast-paced world today, reminding one of the admirable qualities that constitute original, topical design and the thoughtful products that result from it.
